Volunteering
Along with our paid staff, BCCT relies on the support of volunteers from the local community. We have a generous and dedicated team of volunteers who donate their time to help those most in need. Volunteering is also a great opportunity to learn skills and gain experience. With your help we can make a difference!
The following volunteering opportunities are available at BCCT
- Vehicle assistants
We are looking for volunteers to accompany and assist clients on our vehicles for social outings and shopping services. Duties may include: helping clients in and out of the vehicle, carrying shopping bags, assisting to reach groceries on shelves, pushing wheelchairs and communicating with clients who speak different languages. - Office & Admin assistants
Various admin support roles are available for volunteers looking to assist in our office. These may include one or more of the following: reception desk, answering phones, taking client bookings, translation for non-english speaking clients, filing, light computer work, and general office duties. - Committee Members
If you would like to join our Management Committee, the general public are welcome to apply for nomination. Committee members are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting. Nomination forms are available through the office.

Student Placement
BCCT openly welcomes students seeking work experience or TAFE work placement. We have a good relationship with local TAFE’s and regularly take in student volunteers. We especially love bi-lingual students, or those studying aged or disability care. BCCT is a friendly and welcoming environment with a great attitude towards training. Contact us for more information.
